So you think your ready to become a published Internet Author! I read somewhere that there are 2,000 new e-products created everyday; that means over 700,000 new e-products a year, on top of the MILLIONS already on the market. And your one little e-book will be like the needle in the proverbial haystack.
No one can FIND it!
Once you realize that, you’ve just begun the troubled journey of bringing traffic to your site. Hey, don’t let me frighten you off! This is every website’s mission, every writers dream! Go for it!
Do you want me to tell you HOW do it?
OK, Listen up!
ISBN:
ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number. So first thing, get your ebook an ISBN, which will allow you to publicize your ebook on a lot more sites, and your book looks more reliable to prospective readers. Getting an ISBN number is free in some countries, but does take some time. Visit The International ISBN Agency to find out how to get your ISBN.
Google Book Search:
Once you get your ISBN you can broadcast your ebook to Google Book Search. Google has a book partner program where they allow you to advertise your book on Google for FREE. This translates to more back links, and Google helping you get traffic from its search engine. If someone searches bread, and you have a book on baking bread, one of those search results will be the Google book.
More Backlinks = More Traffic = Increased Sales
PayLoadz + PayPal
PayLoadz.com is leading self-service digital content e-commerce platform offering virtually unlimited product offerings of downloadable content such as ebooks, music, videos, software, crafts, or any other file. In December 2007, they released a new version of its content storage and fulfillment system, which provides unlimited file storage for sellers using its services without any increase in cost.
PayLoadz is free to join, and is a great site to use if you don’t want to deal with an email autoresponder. Plus it’s free up the first $100.00 of transaction. It even gives you the html coding to add to your website or blog. And the best of all, PayLoadz goes nicely with PayPal; it won’t release your product till PayPal confirms the payment is received.
If you have your own autoresponder, using PayLoadz to advertise in their marketplace will bring more back links to your site. PayLoadz also has a built in Affiliate program, which sends you a monthly report, and reminds you to pay your Affiliates.
More Backlinks = More Traffic = Higher Page Ranking
Lulu:
Lulu.com offers all sorts of free creation and formatting tools to help you to get everything set up just the way you want, from size to binding to cover art. Another fantastic feature about Lulu is it’ll give you a free ebook cover when you build your profile. Lulu allows you to sell your ebook online and helps you advertise your book in their market place. They take a fee from every ebook, but provide great back links to your website.
More Backlinks = Higher Page Ranking = More Traffic
ClickBank:
ClickBank works two ways: you can join as an Affiliate and help promote and sell other peoples’ products, or you can become a Publisher and get other Affiliates to sell YOUR e-book product. You can also do both simultaneously. ClickBank charges a fee of $50.00 to set up an account to have your product in their marketplace.
Once in the marketplace any of the numerous affiliates signed up to ClickBank can promote your product for you. That’s other Internet marketers, helping to spread the word about your product. They get a percentage on every sale they make, and ClickBank makes a small administrative fee (actually there are several small fees – read the fine print), otherwise the rest is yours. What’s great about ClickBank is, it gets you more click-backs, and more people are out their selling your product. It’s a cheap (but not free) way to get affiliates working for you.
Well that should be enough tools to get you start.
Good luck and Happy Marketing.
